    Lake Park Des Plaines
    Year around Lake Park is one of Des Plaines most popular recreation areas. In the summer (May-Sept.) picnic areas fill the green spaces shadowed by trees and paddle boats can be rented on the lake. In the winter (Nov.-Mar.) the lake freezes over and visitors use Lake Opeka as their skating and hockey rink.

    Lisle Station Park
    This park has significant historic importance to Lisle. Throughout the park there are four buildings and a train caboose that date back to the 1800's.     Mazonia/Braidwood State Fish and Wildlife Area
    The Mazonia/Braidwood State Fish and Wildlife Area allows for fishing, hunting and boating in the park. To get there from the I-55, visitors should get on to IL Route 129 (exit 238) heading to Braidwood. Follow the route for 7.3 mi (11.75 km) and turn right on Division Street.
