Wheaton Parks & Gardens
Cosley Zoo is home to more than 40 types of animals. Native Illinois wildlife and domestic farm animals are found at this 5 acre zoo. Open all year, Cosley Zoo has a lot to offer.
Designed to follow the since removed path of the railway, this park spans 61 miles. The area is used daily by residents for walking and biking. It is one of the nation's first linear-recreation parks.
This park is home to some of Wheaton's most popular historical and recreational attractions. On the grounds visitors will find the Robert McCormick Mansion Museum, the First Division Military Museum, ten acres of gardens and parks, 27-hole championship golf course and nine-hole Cantigny Youth Links.
DuPage county is home to this 24,000 acre national forest and wildlife area. The preserve is home to over 80 miles of trails and several nature and education facilities. While hiking through this preserve visitors can see forests, lakes, prairies and wildlife.
